vlionI look at albums produced between 2002 and 2008 and think, the Bush years. Those were dark years. Grim music. I always like to buy albums from the current year. No sense in getting locked in the past and its music.
I wonder what I will think of 2013 onward. The Dow edges higher, but the unemployment alters little. Our communications are spied upon by an unaccountable government agency. Budgets are cut here, and there, and over there.
I think there will be a frenzied and manic edge to the music of these teen years of the century when we look back on it in 2020, 2030. Something will give, and the system will equilibrium-ize out.
