too much communication

I am - slowly - closing down my old gmail account and moving my email address, to my alum account at my alma mater, keeping records on my home computer.

My gmail boasts something on the order of 1.2 gigs of data (13K emails?!?!). This is going to be "fun" to kill. There is a lot of duplication, and likely some uncaught spam.

I have another email account to vacuum as well. But that data should have been pulled over to Gmail, so all I should have to do is set up a 'bounce'/'forward' setup.
