Sooo, kitteh!

Thursday afternoon I get a call from a friend:
F: "Can I borrow your cat carrier, I have a situation".
Me: "Sure, no problem, just give me a call when you come over"

Friend calls me up a bit later, very upset, talking about a cat whose owner is going to kill it if something isn't done. I make the appropriate sounds, and after another hour or two, she comes over.

We chat a bit and it appears that a certain chap with mental problems(leaning towards violence) has a cat, he's convinced its demon-possessed, and wants to kill it or give it to humane society. Humane society is full, however! This could be an issue. I drive my friend over there, and a cat is unceremoniously dumped into her arms.

Once we get into the car and kitty into the carrier, several things appear to be evident:
- Kitty is young, cute, and very friendly.
- Kitty is purring up a storm
- Kitty appears to be about as mean as a butterfly

Hmph.

We drive around a bit looking for the person who was going to take the cat in, but I can't find the house and my friend doesn't know where it is very well. I offer to take the cat, after a quick consultation with my roommate.

We get home, and kitten is very happy to wander around and explore. No anxiety here!
My cat(hereafter known as Kitty aka Howling Princess) walks in from outside.

"Hooowwwwllllll HISSSSSS!!!!". (repeat many times)

I try and convince the Howling Princess that, no, really, she should shut up and be friends, or at least Not Enemies. For three hours. No go.

I finally put the kitten in my room and call foxfirefey for help, who turns me over to bucko, who gives me advice. Kitten(aka Midnight) stays in my room with food, water, and litter box.

We try to have "visits". Oooohhh, Howling Princess doesn't like that.

I've switched Howler and Midnight. Hopefully Howler will feel better after she craps in Midnight's litter box.

Midnight is a non-neutered male, black all over except for 1 whisker(pure white), and gorgeous orange eyes. And very friendly.
