Subversion + Windows is a serious pain when trying to do command-line work.

conversely, converting from SVN to mercurial appears to be an even worse pain on Windows.

I'm debating writing a script to replay a SVN repo into a mercurial repo.

Why do I care? I want to have fine-grained commits for my laptop, without having to go online.

Well, I am. I tend to stay up after the lady & her family go to bed and I do geeky things. In terms of vacationy things, we have done such amusing things as take walks, play greed, munchkin, and rummikub.

It's not very interesting to others, I'm afraid. :)
